अनु आज बहुत खुश है क्योंकि उसके पापा दो सप्ताह के बाद वापस घर आ रहे हैं। अनु इसलिए भी खुश है कि जब भी उसके पापा अपने सफर से वापस आते हैं तो उसे अपनी दादी के साथ सोने का मौका मिलता है। ऐसे खास मौकों पर उसे दादी से कई रोचक कहानियाँ सुनने को मिलती हैं। उसकी दादी तो जैसे कहानियों का खजाना हों: रोमांच, परी कथाएँ, जादू टोना, भूत की कहानी, इंसानों की बोली में बात करने वाले जानवरों की कहानी और न जाने क्या क्या। अनु को भूतों की कहानी सुनने में सबसे ज्यादा मजा आता है और मजे की बात ये है कि भूतों की कहानी सुनकर उसे जरा भी डर नहीं लगता बल्कि वह तो ठहाके मार कर हँसने लगती है। अनु के पापा जिनका नाम रजत मेहरा है, अक्सर अपनी नौकरी के सिलसिले में कई दिनों तक लगातार अपने शहर से बाहर घूमते रहते हैं। अनु को ऐसे दिनों में अपने पापा की कमी बहुत खलती है लेकिन जब उसके पापा वापस आते हैं तो अपनी भरसक कोशिश करते हैं कि अनु को शिकायत का मौका ना मिले। साथ में वह अनु की मम्मी और उसकी दादी का भी पूरा खयाल रखते हैं।.
